Crystal Burke grew up in New Orleans and has always been fascinated with the culture of New Orleans but specifically, the unique architectural details that can be found on New Orleans homes. After being a nurse for 15 years, she wanted to focus on using materials found in New Orleans homes for function and art. She began returning salvaged doors and shutters to their original beauty and giving them new life and a new story. Then, she expanded into turning other salvaged materials into unique lighting and furniture pieces. Crystal enjoys seeing others appreciate the beauty in recycled materials.
